The legend goes as such:
Long, long ago a beautiful young, pure black filly was born. She was the sweetest filly to ever walk these lands, even to this day. She was also smart-cleverer than the fox, wiser than the owl. Every thing about her was perfect, and even though she was not yet a week old she touched the hearts of all. One of the gods took notice of this, and came to her father in a dream, telling him to name her Annabel, meaning "grace and beauty." Her father dared not disobey a god, but he didn't want to anyways; Annabel seemed to be the perfect name for her.
As time passed, the god whom had named Annabel realized more and more how special she was. Before she turned a year old a plan had formed in his mind. He created a field, beautiful and wide open. He lured her to the field, and it was then that he spoke to her.
Annabel, he said. This field is your new home. You are to govern over it, as a goddess, in the form of a wind. All those good and pure of heart who will one day live here are under your care.
The filly felt a soft breeze play with her mane for just a moment before it was gone, but before long in came back again, this time stronger. It started to swirl about her, faster and faster, and then... It stopped. Confused, she looked about, and found she had become the wind. She was a god... A smile formed inside her, for without a body she could no longer physically smile, but she did not mind. And though she would miss her family, she could still see them, and she could watch over them. Yes, she was glad to be who she was.
So whenever you feel the wind here, know she is watching, keeping you from harm.
