The femme slowly regained conciousness, pain clouded 'er mind suddenly, and 'er vocals let out a hoarse nicker of agony. She foggily got to 'er feet, dial reeling, unsure of how long she had been lying there. The world around 'er was spinning, so she stood for awhile, letting 'er mind adjust, and to hopefully let the pain fade away... The vixen stumbled towards a stream, and drank greedily, forcing as much of the clear liquid down 'er throat as she could manage. 'Er mind worked again, and she saw things clearly. She looked into the water, and stepped back in horror as she saw the huge, blood-encrusted gash at the dide of 'er dial. She timidly stared at 'er reflection once more ; the wound looked like it had been there for awhile, but she just couldn't remember. A sudden burst of emotion hit her ; horror, panic, sadness and grief. She couldn't even remember who she was.
ooc. this is sort of explained in 'Resting With The Ladies' at Firefly Lake... I'm hoping for a neutral to claim her, thanks.

Hidden shook his head at the scent of a mare. So many lights... It was if the world was teasing him. Almost everytime he took it 'pon himself to search out a mare they were light. It didn't seem worth it anymore, but... Sighing, he broke into a 2-beat, heading for the mare. With a herd his size, he had to take every chance he could get. Stopping before the mare, he spoke, his voice neither friendly, not unfriendly, neither excited, nor uninterested.
'Lo. Who are you?
Short pause before he introduced himself.
They call me Hidden Path. I rule Eagle Mountain.

The femmora started at the voice of the stag. She sighed heavily, knowing that he would only find 'er a fool, but honesty won. I honestly don't know. She said eventually, giving no expaination, 'er facade remaining blank and emotionless. She would have to start 'er life all over again, which didn't bother 'er too much as she couldn't miss what 'er mind could not remember. She was more shocked at having no recollection of anything in 'er life up to this point. The vixen's orbs scanned the stag warily, waiting for his reply. It would be interesting, she thought with a slight smirk playing 'pon 'er labrums.

Taken aback, the stag said nothing for a moment. This hadn't been the reply he expected. Usually creatrues knew their own name. Shifting his wait from one pillar to another he wondered about the mare. So unusual... So unique. Why didn't she know her calling? Did she know anything about herself? And why did she seem vaguly familular? Shaking his head slightly, he finally spoke.
Were you ever given a name?
So far she seemed like one to give no more information than was the bare minimum, and while that could be nice at times, when you were trying to figure something out it could make things difficult. Grinding his teeth lightly, he waited for a reply.

The femme gave a short laugh, bobbing her silver dial shortly. Surely 'er mother had gifted 'er with a calling, but she could not remember. No, I cannot remember... She said quietly, bringing the large gash on 'er dial into view. The closed 'er orracles, straining to remember ... anything. But she found nothing. With a fustrated sigh, the vixen plunged 'er fore dagger into the soft ground impatiently. Well, at least she could not remember the hurtful moments of 'er life, she would have to start it all over again. For the better or the worse, she had no choice.

Ahhhh Questions revolving in his thinkbox faded away as the wound came into focus. He considered asking her how she came to have the injury, but changed his mind. She probably didn't remember. How hard it would be to loose your life, yet not even know what you lost. He swung his dial slowly from side to side slightly, noticing how she accepted her fate, while some would panic and break down. She had a good head on her shoulders....
Any idea of what alliance you're going to follow?
ooc: sorry, I have to go, otherwise I'd make it better.

The femme thought deeply for a moment. I believe I will take the side of neutral. Of what alliance do you belong? She said carefully, Eagle Mountain taking no form in 'er mind. Neutral seemed the logical path for 'er, for she felt no evil nor love, just a balance of them both. This stag seemed nice enough, and she wondered, maybe even hoped, that he was of the same allegance as she had chosen. The vix began to shuffle, feeling vulnerable and helpless yet at the same time an excitement had welled up in 'er, but 'er facade remained emotionless 'til she knew more of the stag.

ooc: wooo, sorry I didn't reply before; I was on vacation, skiing in the mountains
bic:
Inside he smiled at her words. His herd had a chance of growing. Though what would the others think of such a unique mare would be interesting. Saying nothing for a moment, perhaps building suspense, his optics traveled to her shifting hooves for just a moment before he looked to her face once more.
I, too, follow the neutrals.
Saying no more, he just watched expressions closely to see her reaction, though appeared clam and relaxed, trying to look as he he wasn't analizing her every movement. No, he would not invite her into his herd; not yet. Though he had seen no faults in her, beyond being a little lost, which he could forgive, he also saw no remarkable qualities. But then again, that was the case with some mares. It could take time to discover their talents, and you have to accept them into your herd, not knowing if they will ever proove to be more than just average. Yet even knowing this, the stallion still refrianed from inviting her into his herd. Before he did that he would wait to see how she responded to his words. That way he would have a better understanding of what she thought of him, and if she might accept an offer he made.

ooc. aww... lucky you! I've never even seen snow! Pft.
The femme bobbed 'er cranium shortly, then smiled softly, acknowledging the information. She was not particularly interested in joining the stag until she knew more of him and his herd ... if he wanted 'er. 'Er silvery bodice began to relax, the tension fading away, as she became more familiar with the hessian. Although she did not completely trust him, she felt more at peace than she had all day. But she still did not fully trust him. 'Er black-laced auds flickered lightly, as she wondered what his herd was like. Did they lean t'wards one particular path, or stay neutral? The vixen's dial slightly leaned t'wards the side, as she curiously examined his masculine figure. Thoughts, perhaps memories, flickered at the back of 'er mind, but they were only blurred shadows. Tell me... what is Eagle Mountain like? The ess murmered softly, as 'er dial fell to the ground, snatching at small blades of grass. Lifting it once more, she looked at the stag once more, observing his reaction.

Taking his time to answer, cranium pondered over how best to satisfy the inquiry. There was the ovious... It was a mountain, filled with eagles, but that was hardly an answer at all. Seeing the fae's dial rise up and her attention on him once more, he parted his lips and spoke in a cool, even tone. Tis a large mountain, adorned with the free and untamed spirits of eagles, along with pine trees and other plants and wildlife. Some of the terrian can be steep, but I find it keeps horses more alert. My herd there is small, but three, perhaps even two, yet we are strong. Beyond the rough terrain keeping us in shape, I let the ranks be decided by blood. As he spoke the finishing sentence he watched her especially closely. A mare not ready to fight would not be a mare he would have. They would only weaken the herd.

The vixen listened with interest evident on 'er proud facial features. She like the sound of this place alot, but didn't want to rush into anything. The femme wodered curiously at one of his sentences ; did he not know how many dwelled in his own herd? Stag, why are you unsure of how many dwell in your herd? She asked in a soft tone of disbelief. Surely a lord would know more of his herd? But she shouldn't jump to conclusions... there may be more. And as for fighting, well she was evidently strong and proud ... she could learn. A slight, almost invisible smirk played 'pon 'er labrums. She watched the hessian. She had not meant to offend him with 'er words, she was just merely curious. And she did not wish to join a herd whose lord did not care for them. 'Er dagger struck the ground impatiently at the small cluster of flies, and awaited any reacton from the stag.

ooc: you're missing out on the snow bic: Stag was unfazed by the mare's question; he had expected such. Without hesitation came his reply. Two of my mares entered a fight recently. The loser never returned. I still think she's alive though, and may come back in time. I'm considering seeking her out if she doesn't.He regretted the loss of Scream very deeply, though tried not too show it too much. She had been his first mare, and he couldn't help but become fond of her. Whipcord flicked quickly to the side, ridding him of the pests that had landed while he had stood still. ooc: I think I might have lost my muse....

ooc. haha, maybe. But I'm going to Hawaii next month! Argh, my first time in a plane! The vix nodden shortly, each strand of silver mane catching the slightly dappled light. She suddenly let a low nicker of pain loose from deep inside 'er vocals ; the flies were eating 'er wound. She could stand pain, just not so much the slow, torturing type. Nipping at the flies sharply with 'er fangs, she relaxed slightly as the buzzed away. The stag did seem to care about this particular femme, which she liked. Was she your favoured mare? She asked curiously. She wondered if he favoured 'er to win in the fight, as it would be disappointing for your less-favoured one to win and become queen.

Favored? He tried to think he had no favored mare, yet... He hesitated for a second, then took a breath and spoke. Perhaps just a little. She was my first mare, and I guess I could not help but think highly of her. He had never really thought of any of his mares as "favored", but now that he thought of it, it made sense. When he saw-no. He did not favor her that much. He shook his dial slightly, then stopped when he remembered where he was.
